Hi buddies, which is the best place to have a dedicated server with decent ddos protection and a good price on plans.
Recommendations will be appreciated.

What do you need the Dedicated server for? why is the need for DDOS protection? how much DDOS protection do you need?

with the very little information given I would recommend OVH as they have top of the market DDOS which comes standard with all servers I believe and the prices are pretty good. (dont expect much from the support, To be fair they are unmanaged servers)

Also, if you just need protection on a domain, you can always add CloudFlare to that site by itself.

Of course, many providers out there just include DDoS protection with their services as standard these days.

OVH is good with their DDOS protection however cloud flare is another better solution for DDOS , if you do not have any technical expertise it will be hard for you to manage a server with OVH since they do not provide any OS level support.

When it comes to protection from network attacks it matters whether the IP infrastructure is under firewall and whether there is a DDoS mitigation functionality on the host network. Any basic domain protection on a CDN-level would not help a lot.

Why it will not help more if using a CDN to against DDOS attacks?
Most people are suggesting to use a CDN like Cloudflare to stop DDOS attacks.

DDoS protection usually needs to extend beyond just the server and include many things along the stack including external firewalls with good TCP TTL and synproxy rules and network bandwidth. it also depends on the type of DDoS (i.e. DNS versus HTTP). To truly protect yourself against a large DDOS attack, you simply need a lot of resources and smart protections that can filter only legit traffic
