VPS / VDS / CLOUD, what is it!

Hi Guys & Others!
I am new on this forum, just needing explanations on these, what is the difference between a VPS, a VDS and a Cloud host?
What are the best software options to use for each kind of this host?
There's not much about it out there with many hosts claiming different things!

Welcome to the community

VPS - Virtual Private Server
These servers are the same as dedicated servers but are virtual containers on one more underlying servers. If powered by more than one server this is often referred to as cloud hosting, but the whole cloud hosting thing is mostly marketing.

VDS - Virtual Dedicated Server
See above.

Cloud - Hosting powered by multiple layers of hardware for power and protection.

Get either a VPS, cloud VPS or even a dedicated server. I dont see much of a need for VDS, it has a very lose term. if you do decide to go with either a cloud service or VDS, make sure you ask a lot of questions before you sign up.
