Do you prefer unmanaged or managed VPS?

I prefer un-managed because I can control whole things on it. Also, this way I feel like I can learn more as I go as I have to fix problems myself rather than rely on support tickets to my hosting provider and sometimes it took so long to get replied. What do you guys think?

I almost 90% of the time go for unmanaged Dedicated because I know how to monitor and manage it my self and also will allow me to purchase a much larger and powerful server for the same price.

I like both unmanaged or managed VPS

If I buy hosting plans for my customers then I will choose hosting companies that offering managed VPS or dedicated server.

If I buy hosting plans for my sites, I will want to choose unmanaged VPS/dedicated server which I can set up or configure somethings I wanted.

I think both have its advantages and it depends on you. You should choose managed VPS if you don't have more time for it, let a web hosting expert help you!

I prefer unmanaged because besides having the power to do whatever I want on my own server, whenever I have an issue I learn by solving it myself!

For me i will say Managed server is better....You can still get managed server at a good price...We all know that unmanaged server are cheap and come with large spec. But i am still good with managed server because you are assured of 99% up time.....But for the unmanaged something can happen to it and you have no one to put the cause on. So i am for Fully Managed Server.
