Hey Guys,

I need your recommendations or ways on choosing a good unmanaged VPS hosting
How to choose a VPS for a site 300 users online all the time, PHP language, site has more information and images, videos...
I would like to ask which OS system I should choose, how many RAM, Storage, CPUs...etc?

Any advice?

There are few things you need to consider how much space you required then RAM it should be like 4Gb for handle 300+ users and they will grow day by day bandwidth is important so takecare of it as well most important thing you need look for backip and customer services ie support.

The real question is, how much RAM/CPU are you currently using with your hosting provider? Depending on how the software is built, and the experience that you have with managing a VPS, an instance with more than 8GB of Memory may be even slower than your current solution. There are a lot of factors to take into place when moving hosting packages, you also want to plan ahead for the next year or two, leaving yourself with room to grow.

I think the main thing here is that if you're asking these questions, should you really go for unmanaged hosting?

Yes I think unmanaged hosting, it has any advantages over managed hosting, It can be customized by me and consuming less resource of VPS.

Is it exact?

Having a managed VPS does not mean that you cannot customize it yourself. It means you have help incase you run into problems or need something setup/configured/fixed but are unsure how to do it yourself.

Think of it this way:
Unmanaged VPS =VPS server for you to use.
Managed VPS=The same VPS server for you to use + a tech support team to help you when needed.
