Exact Match Domains vs. Keyword Domains, which is better for SEO?

I heard about 2 types of domain names that apply for SEO, that's exact match domains and keyword domain. Can any one explain me what is the difference between them and which is better for SEO?

Theyre the same thing. Exact match domain is an "exact match" to a keyword that gets monthly searches.

If your keywords is "red shoes" then the EMD would be redshoes[dot]com
