2 different languages in a website affect SEO?

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie in this field and having some questions I want to ask about SEO
we have a website that running 2 2 different languages on it.

My questions are:
I should use each language on different urls like main domain and sub domain /sub folder?
and I use 2 different languages in a website, then it will affect SEO?
