We have already known there are tons of ways to drive traffic to your site!
But not all are suited to your particular case ...
So, what are your favorite methods of generating traffic?

Forum marketing can give you very targeted traffic, maybe not a lot but very specific towards your niche. You get to decide your reputation on a forum and hopefully you come off as an expert in your field.

Social media is huge for my type of business, I spend around $1,000 + per month on gaining new targeted clients. It isn't for everyone but can raise your traffic by truck loads!

Blog commenting is something I try to do in a very specific way, I don't do a lot of it, but i target well known blogs in my field and really give a lot back through my comment. I don't just try to advertise, but instead give useful info back to anyone reading that blog.

I prefer forum traffic as a source as it is effective and targeted more than other sources, social networking, blog commenting and also directories are also great for increasing traffic and converting them to sales.

Yep, that works for me too: Forum marketing!
But I like to work also with udimi(.)com
And then especially Squeeze page links, somehow this works better then
Affiliate links to sales pages.
And of course when your Facebook language account is set to English US,
you can use Audience Insights in your Ads Manager, to aim @ very targeted traffic!

Social Media Marketing is the cheapest way for me to get traffic. It does not cost a lot of money and if you are on a tight budget, that's the way to go.
Search Engine Marketing can work for your business too but it is very expensive. I use it seldomly because of financial constraints.

Solo ads. It's the best for me because I can build my list and my list is MY ATM MACHINE. ie. Money on demand. :)

Re: Traffic Generation Methods

Here are the traffic generation methods that continue to generate excellent results for our clients...

• STRATEGIC B2B PARTNERSHIPS -- If you're selling for example a Web-based CRM solution for small to medium-sized businesses in English-speaking countries, then you can set up a small call center or even a small live chat support center and partner up with hosted PBX providers that operate in your target English-speaking countries; and

You can provide pre and post telesales services as well as remote tech setup and activation support services to the customers of your partner companies. They'll drive their prospects and existing customers to you. You'll earn fixed commissions from each subscription that you close with prospects, and from each renewal that you close with each existing customer. They'll earn fixed commissions from each Web-based CRM subscription that you successfully upsell to their prospects and customers...

• PAID AD BANNER / ADVERT PLACEMENTS in STRATEGIC ONLINE / OFFLINE PLACES and PR DISTRIBUTION -- Self-explanatory...

• PAID and FREE SOCIAL MEDIA PROMOTIONS with PAID and FREE VIDEO MARKETING CAMPAIGNS -- Self-explanatory...

• CONTENT MARKETING and SEO -- Self-explanatory...

That's it for now. Cheers! :)

Re: Paid and Free Video Marketing Tactics

Kal K,

PAID = One way is to use Youtube advertising and Dailymotion advertising among other advertising options offered by widely popular video repositories, such as video tutorial sites and so on that your target audience may be frequenting and talking about, in order to promote your videos...

Another way is to embed your videos in Facebook among other social networks where your target audience hangs out, then promote those posts with your embedded videos and effective call to action buttons through paid campaigns, i.e. Facebook's post boost feature...

One other way is to use your embedded videos with unique commentary content that's most relevant and significant to the readership of laterally and directly relevant, heavily trafficked authority sites in your niches, in order to negotiate mutually beneficial guest posting arrangements and video syndication agreements with the owners / admins / Webmasters of those online places...

FREE = I discussed many advanced tactics for using videos to generate social traffic in this post...

NOTE: Of course, the purpose of your offsite videos is to warm up offsite traffic and drive that traffic to your site so as to convert them into subscribers (through your incentivized opt-in offers), invisible opt-ins (through Facebook retargeting and Bing remarketing code that's integrated into the pages of your site), fans and followers (through the tactics that I discussed in the linked post above), and viral sharers / embedders / social marketers (also through the tactics that I discussed in the linked post above)...

Hope this helps. Cheers! :)
