Which should I go with, SMO or Link building for new site?

Dear webmasters,

I have tutorial blog, i used to post 4 to 5 articles each day. Site is new and I need more traffic for it, which techniques should I go with, SMO or link building, even banner ads on other sites?

Please suggest me any tips

I would focus on SMO. Social media is becoming a greater factor in search engine rankings and you also have the benefit that when you promote your articles to your social media accounts you are creating back inks.

G+ will help with rankings for sure.

According to me we have to take the help of SMO for getting traffic and popularity of the new site because this is a place where we find billions of daily active users,second thing is that we don't have to invest much money also.

talk about you in social or other blogs, such as
tries with a high pr blogs that speak of your comments on the same subject and their ideas
enter the name of your site
but do not need to enter spam so that it is useful.
for example:
I agree with you on what you said in fact I run a blog on your own topic, etc.
I found an interesting post here about it
etc etc .....
then spread the word and as bit of creativity.

For new website, social media is the best option for getting popularity which ultimately affect your site traffic and ranking in SERP but your website must be unique and different than others.

Social signals are important factor to improving the website rank but not only this helps to improve in SERP. You need to do proper on page and off page SEO by following webmaster guidelines.

Go for SMO, In the case If it is not give you benefit according to your expectation then go for link building process.
