AI tools are evolving quickly, especially with companies introducing AI assistants, automation features, and robotics-focused innovations through cloud platforms. It seems like businesses are moving beyond simple chatbots toward AI systems that can support workflows, decision-making, and operational tasks.

I recently read an article on MSP Pie discussing Google Cloud’s latest AI announcements, including Gemini-related innovations and AI coaching concepts.

Do you think AI-powered cloud services will become a standard part of business operations in the next few years, or are companies still adopting them too early?

Standard already, but not in the shape the announcements suggest. What stuck for us is narrow and boring: drafting, summarising tickets, classifying incoming mail. The workflow agents that decide things on their own get pulled after a few weeks because someone still has to check every action, and checking costs more time than doing the thing.

On the cloud side it pushed us the other way for some jobs. A single GPU box running an open model handles our internal batch work cheaper than per token API calls, and the data never leaves the rack. Cloud AI still wins for spiky or occasional use.
