Hi,
I'm bought vps with 7 vcores (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5570 @ 2.93GHz).
after install the DirectAdmin and view in "System Information", I see that each core have "Processor Speed (MHz): 1466.846".
is it need to be 2933 MHz? right?
why each core work for half speed?

thank you

All depends on what sort of VPS you have.

I would contact your hosting provider and tell them it does not appear you have the specs your purchased. Ask them what type of Virtualization they are using.

Be sure to post back what they tell you, for what you have said it does give me a bad feeling you have been sold something other than what you payed for.

Hi,
myvirtualserver .com they said that in openvz they suplly only 50% of the core speed, I think it's not ok. so they need to write 3.5 core and give 100%...

I agree it's false advertising, If it were me I'd refund and go with a provider that provides what they advertise.

Also OpenVZ servers are little more than shared hosting, you would be best with a KVM dedicated resource VPS.
