Hello everyone,

I recently faced a situation where my websites were down, and I suspected my server might be the issue. When I contacted my web hosting provider, they insisted that their Apache server was up and running. However, I had network-related evidence showing the downtime.

Has anyone else encountered a similar situation? How do you usually determine if your server is down, especially when your hosting provider claims everything is fine on their end? I'd appreciate any insights or tips on troubleshooting server downtime and validating server status.

Thank you in advance for your help!

There are alot of tools to check if your websites are down or not. https://isitdownorjust.me/ hetrix monitoring tool, and so on. If you have had the issue where you was not able to reach your websites, this can be a plenty of factors. It might that you were blocked by firewall, network issue in your side and or ISP side and so on. You will never know until you are root user to check the uptime and or logs as a root user.

To confirm server issues, use online tools like Pingdom or UptimeRobot to independently check your website's status. Also, analyze server logs for errors and monitor network traffic. Don't hesitate to push your hosting provider for detailed server logs if you suspect issues. Trust your data and keep investigating until you find the root cause.
