Why Let's Encrypt is just allowing 3 months renew SSL once?

I am wondering why Let's Encrypt is just allowing 3 months renew SSL once without allowing 6 months or 1 year once? can any one explain me why?

Hello,

The first reason is in the case that your certificate's key is compromised. The second reason Let's Encrypt expires after such a short time is to minimize the impact of mis-issued certificates.
