I've seen hosting providers offer SSD hosting. Do I need this for my WordPress websites?

Yes you do, even NVMe is better, faster in terms of I/O write/read.

If you want your websites to run fast, then yes. SSD stands for "Solid State Disk." The drives that use this have no moving parts and run much faster than HDD ("Hard Disk Drive"). Web hosting that uses SSD drives is not only faster, but more reliable. The drives withstand shock better and wear out more slowly. The only drawback is that hosting that offers this can be more expensive. But it's worth the investment - I use Rocket.net and our site has never been faster.

Yes. There is no discussion about it.

Yes, you definitely need SSD hosting for your Wordpress websites. The SSD drives are much faster than the normal hard disks. You will notice an improvement in your website loading scripts.

Yep! It will be a great advantage for your WP site. SSD accelerates performance for your hosting because of its ability to store data using flash memory.

I was using SSD for WordPress for a client when I was hosting a WP site for him. I deployed Bluehost India's plan for the client and he had a great experience.

It depends. A site with light traffic on a provider that provides caching including object cache + using a CDN and the server barely gets touched, you probably would not notice any difference as long as the provider is not overloading their server which most do to some point. Traditional spinning drives on hosting servers IO / IPS was usually the bottleneck.
