I think these days it depends on your budget because the more you spend the more features you get. It depends on what features you need and then you can decide based on your budget.

Dell doesn't make their own panels - but they are a good brand.
Samsung makes their own panels - and they are a good brand.

You could also look at LG, Acer, Asus, BenQ, and Phillips.

Don't just limit yourself to 2 brands!

There’s a few choices out there. All monitors that I mention are atleast 120Hz, 1440p, and have G-Sync

Asus ROG Swift PG278Q

This monitor has been a recommendation for some time now. It features 1440p, IPS Panel, and 165Hz. One thing to mention is that people have complained about the QC (Quality Check) of Asus. So you you buy one, it’s recommended to buy it from a respectable store like Amazon.

Acer Predator XB271HU

Slightly cheaper (around $100) than the Asus ROG Swift, but has similar specs. It’s a great monitor and has ‘gaming’ feeling accents on the design.

Viewsonic XG2703-GS

Just as the two monitors above, it has similar specs. The biggest different is the price. This monitor is about double the price compared to the Acer Predator. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a monitor.

I like AOC brand. I own AOC CQ32G1. I purchased it mainly for gaming. It produces good image quality and has a number of clever functions. The curved design envelops you, putting you in the center of the action and ensuring an immersive gaming experience.

If you're looking for a more general monitor, the AOC 27P1 is a good choice.

I really liked the LG 27ML600M-B; it is a relatively new monitor with AMD free sync support. This monitor is compatible with both AMD
and Nvidia graphics cards. I hope it is available in my country.

Both Dell and Samsung are reputable brands in the PC monitor market, and they offer a wide range of high-quality products. When it comes to choosing between them, it's important to consider your specific needs and preferences.

Here are a few factors you may want to consider when deciding between Dell and Samsung:

Display technology
: Both brands offer monitors with various display technologies, such as IPS, TN, and VA. You may want to research and compare the differences between these technologies and choose the one that best fits your needs.

Display technology determines how colors and contrast appear on the screen and affects the viewing angles, so choosing the right technology is crucial to ensure you get the best image quality and performance for your specific needs.

Screen size and resolution: You mentioned that you are considering monitors that are 27 or 34 inches in size. You should also consider the resolution you prefer, such as 1080p, 1440p, or 4K. A larger screen size may be more suitable for activities such as gaming or video editing, but it may not be necessary if you primarily use your computer for everyday tasks.

Screen size and resolution are also important factors to consider, as a larger screen and higher resolution can provide a better viewing experience for activities such as gaming, video editing, or graphic design, but may not be necessary for everyday tasks.

Additional features: Consider any additional features you may want, such as built-in speakers, USB hubs, or VESA mount compatibility.

Additional features such as built-in speakers, USB hubs, or VESA mount compatibility can be convenient, but may not be necessary depending on your specific use case and preferences.

Budget: Dell and Samsung offer monitors at different price points. Consider your budget and look for the models that offer the features you need at a price you can afford.

Budget is an important factor to consider, as PC monitors can vary widely in price, and it's important to find a model that offers the features you need at a price that fits within your budget.

Ultimately, the best way to choose between Dell and Samsung is to research and compare specific models that meet your requirements. Look for reviews and user feedback to get an idea of the pros and cons of each option.

It seems like you are satisfied with your purchase of two Dell SE2722HX monitors and you believe that the current price on Amazon, which is $159 per monitor, is a good deal.

When making purchasing decisions, it is important to consider your personal needs and preferences, as well as any relevant product specifications and reviews. It's also a good idea to compare prices across different retailers to ensure that you are getting the best possible deal.

Whether or not your decision to purchase the Dell SE2722HX monitors was the right one will depend on whether they meet your needs and expectations. If you are happy with the performance and value of these monitors, then it sounds like you made a good choice.
