Godaddy 99 cents domain?

Hello!

I've heard that you can have a domain with Godaddy for 99 cents.
I don't know should I believe it since it seems to good to be true.
There is always a catch with this sort of things.
Anyone with some helpful experience ?

Yea that sounds about right. They do such offers now and then.
The catch is, the renewal fee from year 2. They usually charge quite a bit for renewals.
They basically get you to join for cheap and then charge more later.
You always have the option to transfer the domain elsewhere before you are charged more, but that requires you to be proactive.

I would shop around and see what others are offering and especially look at the renewal fees. Then you can work out average cost for a few years.
