A new Slack web hosting community

So we just launched a new community on Slack and it's all about web hosting.

You can get exclusive offers and deals, get support, ask questions, leave reviews, and discuss anything related to web hosting through chat. There are active web hosting reps in the community so they're always ready to offer their professional help and exclusive offers.

The community is still fairly new and we're still in "soft launch". Currently, only select members know about the community, but soon we'll start actively promoting it and much more members will join.

I would really appreciate your feedback and ideas, especially since you're all experienced in web hosting forums.

I have just visited your community and it looks like a squeeze page than a community because it is collecting emails and need to be invited or approved to join. You should open your forum for signing up publicly and let everyone see why they should join the community as its having useful content and an active community.

It's just how Slack works. This is more of a chat rather than a forum. There already are public forums like you're suggesting like this one and WHT so I saw no need for another one.

BTW the emails are not collected by us, they're collected by Slack in order to send you an invite. Everyone can join and it's open, but you must first sign up.

Would you be kind to provide me with some info ? Links or, even better, your reply would be much of a help ?
Is it a new social media network, communication app, or something else ?
I am glad there is a boom in this field, since I see that many members are happy for expansion in website hosting field.
I will check out your community, do some research and get back to you.I hope I find it attractive enough to join, which I believe I will.
