Openvpn with Adblock?

Hi guys,
I browse some some VPN offers which are included with some extra features like ad blocker, both on PPTP or OpenVPN service
Do you guys know how to create that kind of these features? Do I just need to install kind of firewall for example spf? Or maybe there some special application need to be installed on my server?
Please advise!

To block ads, you do not need a firewall, just a dns server which block requests to ads servers. That's the easiest way to block all ads.
