Domain Flipping

I am holding many domains since few years with a thought that one day I will be able to sell these domains and make money. sadly, I have not been able to sell my domains. Renewing domains has now become a great financial oblication for me. Recently, I spend $300 just to renew my domains for thr third year. If I cannot sell any of these domains, I might drop them. Please advice.

What have you used to try to sell your domains ?
Domain selling depend on two points :
- keyword or name value
- SEO value : metrics like majestic Trust Flow or referring-domains

But most part of people will not want to buy a domain previously used for a new website.

If the domains have resell value then dropping them will have just cost you the renewal fees that you have paid up to this point. If they have good resell value then you should start to market them and find some potential buyers to contact.

You can also try selling them on some of the domain marketplaces like Godaddy auctions, Sedo and Flippa. Godaddy has been better for me as a selling place when I have sold domains but the only downfall is that you have to pay $5USD per year to be able to sell (and buy) domains on their platform.

You might want to see about looking into their resell values first in order to see if there is good potential there or not. Sometimes holding onto domains too long can make their value decrease due to changes in the buying market.

If they have good resell value then the renewal fees are worth paying but if they are not of much or any resell value then dropping them at their next renewal might be the better choice.

Domain name flipping is not easy because a domain name is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. My best advice I can give is it's time to cut your losses if you have been trying to sell them for three years and they still haven't sold. Don't keep trying to throw good money after bad, move on and count it a lesson learned.
