So I am considering actually looking to start a Web hosting business in my country but I have been thinking about the competition which I must say are big competitions (companies, braands and so on). I located this forum which I feel is the best place to find experienced business owners especially in the Web Hosting Business.

The question that keep bothering me is the best way to attract new client to your new business especially when you have zero reputation online and offline, what are the best possible way to reach out to these prospective clients? in order not to advertise to the wrong set of clients who are not interested and blowing your marketing budget without achieving anything.

Please help, your advise will be considered a lot.

Thanks very much.

Your best bet is going to be starting local and expanding through word of mouth. Because the market is so saturated (yet by no means full) it would be helpful if you can add value to your product such as web development services, consulting, maintenance, etc.

You have two options to start prompting your hosting company from zero to 1+ clients
They are:
- Free method
- Paid methods

Free:
Forums, blogs, websites, classified sites, social media, SEO.

Paid:
Ad networks
Google adsense.

If you can go with SEO then it would be great for your business because it will drive more traffic to your hosting site daily without paying anything. Other than that, you have to spend money into marketing to promote your brands, at least to let everyone know about your company.
