Gents,

We have a simple question. If you choose a Xen based control panel and after a couple of months/years the cPanel dies. Can we move the guests to another Xen based control panel, without any problems?

Because it's Xen based, my guess would be: yes, without any problem. Just import the vdisk within the new cPanel.

When one wants to migrate website from Xen compatible hosting plan to another webhost the migration may be done if there is no issue with the compatibility over the use of Xen, then things may be fine but always remember to be at par with the industry standards.

Create several backups before proceeding with the migration, make sure the backups actually work it can happen at times that an error occurs while restoring the backup, just to be on the safe side. Most likely it will work, like you have sad import the vdisk and make sure all of the settings are up to date.

As far as i understand the OP, he asked if one day whm cPanel will not be compatible with XEN virtualisation platform, how to migrate to another virtualisation like KVM etc.
Since XEN and KVM both use full resource i doubt whm cPanel will stop providing/compatibles with mentioned platforms.
