What are some of the best web host review sites out there or what service do you use for customers to review your company? do you give your customers any incentive to write reviews for your company? eg. coupon or a gift of some kind

Of course, sometimes you can find out new providers from various forums, etc but you have to do your due diligence to work out whether the review is legit or not. Unfortunately, probably around 7/10 are fake. After some time it gets easier to workout the legit reviews from the fake ones.

I got annoyed when I would ask our customers to leave reviews on 3rd party sites only for the 3rd party site to shutdown e.g RatePoint. Now I don't bother with that.

Now when a customer is happy with our service and in chat/ticket they ask where they can leave a review I'll just add their review to our reviews page directly on our site (they can ask our customer directly by going to their domain name) and I mention to them they can also leave a review on some other popular sites if they want to. We do not give any incentive for this.

I have to agree with Chris. The world of review sites is a shady one, many are faked which is also illegal under many regions laws, or they are paid reviews which is also a legal grey area.
Anyone buying hosting from these so called 5 star recommendations on review is very naive imo. Often if you do a good job for your client you don't even need to ask for reviews.

I had a new signup a few days ago who said the following after migrating him, I never even asked for feedback:

"Once again I want to thank Lee and everyone at LJSHost for making
my changing Host Provider experience smooth, quick and painless."

Just collect your own reviews and page make your own reviews page. Happy clients will say nice things without you even asking.

But don't be a scum bag and write a load of fiction, real reviews from real people, a business should never be built on lies as I'm afraid is the case with many firms and their paid for adds and collusion with the review sites to get them in the BEST TOP 10 and control what people think are the best firms.

I get "reviews/comments" from lots of clients when tickets are closed. We have a builtin rating system for that. I have put some on our website.

What do you guys think of bigger sites though, like Google or yelp etc. ?

Most review sites are funded to get good reviews. But some are legit ones. Webhostdir, Serchen, WHT etc to name a few.
