Many web hosting providers said "You get what you pay for". Is this true only for cheap hosting services or not?
Some people complained they are getting bad support from their hosting providers while they are getting good hosting specifications but with cheap price. What do you guys think?

Oh no, it's not only true for cheap hosting providers.
There are also very expensive package with no support and the worst specifications available.
An example :

$119 for a VPS with 4GB RAM without a control panel. That make sense ..

They can set these prices because I assume they get a lot of traffic and although a lot of them don't buy it, some of them do and they profit from the margin.

But I agree that it's not worth it.

What's the name of this provider? Now I'm curious to do a background check of their backlinks, traffic, etc. Let me know.

:good: hostgator.com The best hosting provider !

They also have some very cool dedicated server. Like an Intel XEON with 2 cores and 4GB RAM ! and with 40% OFF !

And the best WordPress package all around the world -> $91 / mo for 5 WordPress

With my 30+ wordpress, with hostgator I should pay $637 / mo to host them

yes cheap does bring down quality but affordable doesn't.
We offer services 10 times better than some hosts who offer the same service with much worst support and the same specs.
It comes down to the host provider.
How much do they care about their customers compare to how much they care about making money out of the customers.
hosts like host gator are very money and ad focused which is why they have 1 star rating almost every where.
There is no way to know exactly how good a host is for you before you try them or at least contact their support.

Well 2TB data transfer, as quoted on the plan above aren't that much at all. On the other hand 2 CPU cores with 4 GB Ram might cost $70 or even more. All depends what kind of computing and virtualization is that. it is about a Cloud infrastructure that offers some High availability on any other advanced services, then it makes sense. Otherwise, it looks more expensive that it should. But again all depends of the company, infrastructure and region. In many regions (Singapore, Honk Kong, Tokyo, London, etc.) the costs of doing business are very high.

Its all depends on the hosting provider and there services....There are some cheap hosting provider with great support and there are some expensive providers too with great support. So we cant determine which is good buy from either cheap or expensive . What i will say is, when buying a plan you look for a hosting provider with great support. I can provide you with good and higher fully managed dedicated server just Pm if interested.

Hostgator makes their customers like stupids when paying $91 / mo for 5 WordPress, $637 / mo for 30+ wordpress sites
with that price, we can find a good VPS or a decent dedicated server to host 1000 wordpress sites on our hosting with better performance.

Used them, very professional and I love how they offer free WHMCS license for my host. Very recommended.
Cheers,
Marc A. :drinks:
I think you don't have experience in using web hosting, are you ready to pay that price just hosting 5 wordpress websites?

Hostgator is not what you pay for! they are ready suspend your sites without reporting if you exceed their hosting limitations and bad support. I used their hosting and left their services 3 years ago.

The OLD HostGator was a good provider. Since they were acquired by EIG, they have gone down hill big time. I would not recommend HG to anyone!

Afterwards when you look for cheap hosting you might be buying a low quality hosting..
what matter the most is receiving great technical support (at least within 15 min of reply) and good technical specifications.

I don't think there are many web hosts will provide a technical support within 15 min of reply, its pretty fast for customers.

Why don't you recommend selecting with web hosting providers with live chat support?

Its all depends on the hosting provider and there services....There are some cheap hosting provider with great support and there are some expensive providers too with great support. Seem it just happens to big hosting companies which they have better data centers and always offer better prices and support.
