Do you prefer to pay your web hosting bills manually or automatically?

What do you guys think about billing for your hosting service monthly? Do you prefer to pay all your bills manually? Or do you prefer them to get paid automatically for you each month so you don't have to do it yourself?

It can be more convenient to have your bills paid for you automatically, but it could be that you're paying more than you need to or you can not control invoices that hosting provider sends to you. Do you ever check your usage and then compare this to your bill? Do you ever question it or do you just pay it?

I have seen a lot more customers preferring automatic purely because they do not have to worry about forgetting to pay and face suspension. And also with payment gateways such as paypal recurring payments, depending on what you agree to the hosting provider can not take more than you agreed to.

A PayPal subscription is ideal, it just makes a payment monthly for the agreed amount and you never need to think about it again.
With a fixed plan you should never pay more than you need to, it should remain the same unless your provider changes their pricing.

I agree with this, for any hosting companies I like using automatic billing via Paypal but most cases I wanted to be able to pay invoices by myself

I knew about PayPal subscription when a hosting charged me automatically for next month while I wanted to move to a new package so I asked for the refund.

I heard it has an option that I can remove PayPal subscription in Paypal, right?

Yes your PayPal subscriptions are managed from your PayPal account, you can cancel them at anytime.

Automatic payments seem to be the common trend, think about if you had a credit card. Setting up automatic payments are easy so you don't have to worry about being late and facing any penalty.

I faced this problem once when i forgot to pay my hosting bill and they suspended my hosting, that helps customers like me pay faster

I do a mix of both with my monthly bills. I like to manually pay since this reminds me of the funds I am paying out. I, as well as anyone else with an online business, would prefer all customers to pay automatically. It really simplifies things and much less overdue bills to deal with that way.

I prefer manual monthly payment by credit card so I get to see the bill first before paying.

I can also keep track of expenses monthly.

I pay for 2 years upfront. And that's how I have disabled the yearly payment option. Most of the hosts have quarterly and yearly payment options. But I find the 2 years prepayment as an alternative. This way I can save on most of the hosting costs. Also the billing that I am using is manual. This way I have no issues with the automatic withdrawal and the card deny issue. So that's another reason I am using the manual payment option. It seems to be working for me.

I don't prefer to pay for hosting every month, I will rather pay for one year period. What is I have a monthly paying billing cycle and I forget to pay bills on time (in case I don't get a reminder)? However, when I have per year billing cycle, I can pay bills on time. When I am paying, I always prefer to do manually because I will be using a method that will be more appropriate for me (paypal, card or bitcoin). In case I have monthly billing cycle,m I will choose automated payment, I guess.

I think it is better to pay manually, otherwise you have less of a "feel" how much you are spending per month. Just a psychological thing.

I prefer automated with reputed gateways like PayPal, Payza etc. More over reputed hosting provider use automated billing software like Whmcs which will automatically send you a payment notification a week B4 .

It depends on what the service is. For most services, we prefer them to be manually paid for us to have better awareness of our expenses.

I prefer to do it manually. I have three websites and six blogs. The three websites are being hosted by three different hosting companies. I typically go for a one year contract, seeing that the three have good reputation. Why did I choose three hosting service providers instead of one? Well, simply because I wanted to check the capability of each one of them individually. Also the facilities and packages they provide are slightly different from a provider to provider. So this way you could actually see which one is better than the other.
Also they are trusted companies so I don't have to worry about my websites for a whole year.

Coming on to payments. As I mentioned earlier, I have chosen manual payment method. Simply because of the reasons mentioned above. Also it is always advisable to do things manually than automatically. Let's say you see a provider not providing the type of service you wanted so you could always revoke your agreement and then check with other providers.

Paying automatically seemstobe favored here.Reasons been that you just activate yourauto payent and forget about been outof service.Imust say it has it's disadvantages though.There are situations whereby you have forgotten or did not take cognisance of the expiry period of your subscription,The automatic mode swings in and subscribes you,albeit you must have funds in your account.

For me sometimes Manually or Automatically it depends on the situation. Manually if I have more time and I'm not in a hassle mode of doing things because paying manually you can review your usage of a certain service you want to pay right away while on the other hand automatically if time won't allow me to do so, it is more hassle free since a representative, machine or any means of paying involving this line.

It's recommended to have the automated billing because if you will forgot to pay the bill then your service will be suspended and sometimes it get deleted from the server as you are fail to check the emails and pay bills.

Automated billing system will automatically transfers the amount from the saved payment medium.

Regarding the charges, the hosting providers are always used to inform the customers about their plans, if there is nay offers, you used to receive the email accordingly. You will get the discount too so you don't have to worry about the bills.
