As all said it is possible, in my opinion it is better to not use control panel for a single site,
by not using a CP, your website will load faster, although it is not easy to install a website via ssh, there are alot of tutorials in internet , you should check it out.

Yes it is possible to run your VPS without a control panel and a proper LAMP or LNMP stack. The thing that comes in to play however is how you will configure and secure your "stack", as most control panel installers will do that for you. cPanel also has a very nice thing that is able to recompile PHP and Apache on the fly, called EasyApache. I usually do not use control panel, however when I am lazy, I just throw VestaCP on the server, configure DNS and add my website. For example my personal website(static HTML pages) is running on a VestaCP server with LNMP stack with 1 Gigabyte of ram. I have like ~800 MB RAM free. :) My setup with a control panel only takes ~200 MB RAM. I don't have a license for cPanel, else I am 99% sure I could make it run on less than a gig of RAM with proper optimizations.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend anyone to run their own mailserver. There are enough free services for replacing it either for transactional email(SparkPost for example) or personal email(biz.mail.ru and Yandex).

If you are knowledgeable with command line then you can do anything you would do in a control panel via CLI. There are various scripts that will help you do this. Tools like TuxLite will help with setting up LAMP for you, including virtual hosts. You also have tools like CentMinMod, which will take out a lot of the bloat of using a control panel for basic projects. This includes optimization and caching configurations.

HI,

you can install LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and use this for your web site...

LAMP is an open source Web development platform that uses Linux as the operating system, Apache as the Web server, MySQL as the relational database management system and PHP as the object-oriented scripting language. (Sometimes Perl or Python is used instead of PHP.)

Such high-availability setups may also improve the availability of LAMP instances by providing various forms of redundancy, making it possible for a certain number of components (separate servers) to experience downtime without interrupting the users of services provided by a LAMP instance as a whole.

You can get VPS without control panel, but that does not mean you can save much RAM or other server resources. Server resources are dependent on your applications and usage as well. For better performance you should atleast have 1GB RAM for Linux server and minimum 2 GB RAM for Windows Server.

Only difference with and without control panel you have to manage your websites or application directly by logging into server, whereas with control panel you can easily manage through web access. If you are a technical person to manage server without control panel you can opt server without any control panel.

Absolutely you can, if you are a code artist with Linux knowledge. All web-based control panels including cPanel and Plesk consume your server resource, unless you use a desktop-based control panel like VPSrobots to manage your server.

Sure, it is possible
With Linux there is Root access and with Windows there is Admin access for no additional cost.
But it needs a bit of technical knowledge to use the server with those access... hence the control panels are offered, so that the server can be managed easily by a normal computer user.

What requires me to use a VPS without a hosting control panel? I would like to have PHP, apache, mysql and email server to run php sites and sending emails to clients when needed.

As I read on this forum, for installing a hosting control we need at least 1 or 2 GB of RAM, if i don't install a hosting panel, it will save RAM for my VPS? All your advice are greatly appreciated.
Check out https://new.ahnames.com/en/site. They offer a control panel with VDS/VPS straight away (which is pretty cool) and the prices start from 20$.
