Hey all, I have some articles on my blog and they are crawled and indexed by Google in the past but for some reasons I recently updated new content to them but Google rarely revisited them and not crawled again or it took a long time. Do you know any TIPs to make Google revisit your articles to crawl new content?

What about posting completely new content?

Could submit your RSS feed to RSS submit sites/services.

When you update your old article than it will take some time to get re-index by Google. I also recommend you to make sure you have put priority of your blog posts in your sitemap file.

Well, they need a reason to revisit that page. This is done through citations, dofollow backlinks, new links to that article from different places where the spiders can revisit it from.

Also whats your blogs post comments activity like? The new discussion creates new content that the spiders can crawl and index so you need to work on that side of it too.

How do you go about doing this Ron?

Do you just mass submit your sites RSS feed url to loads of rss submission sites all at once?

Or do you specially handpick them and do them one at a time?

Do you burn your feed url with feedburner or something and submit that or use the actual xml file instead?

You have to add content in a timely basis such as twice in a week or even more frequently. The reason Google crawlers are not coming back is that they are not getting anything new. You must add content which are good and add value to your niche. And the time between publication of those content must be within a specific time gap.
