I write articles on microjob sites, as part of my online work.
For example, Fiverr and SEO Clerks. Fiverr is set at five bucks, no matter what your service is, until you are up to a level two. That is where you would be able to add extras to your gigs, expanding your gigs.
SEO Clerks you have options on the services you want to list, as you can set your price as high as $100.00. My services there are writing, which my rates start at five and up. I have other services that surround adult sites, etc at different prices.
I guess what I'm here to say, is that there are legit people, who CAN read AND write awesome content at the " worst" price. Don't assume, that just because it's for five or ten bucks, that it's crap. You might just be surprised at what you find.
Why do I have different prices on my NaturalWriter website? That's very simple to answer. There is a difference between online and offline. Those prices are set for the offline working world in my province. I just got a job application 3hrs away from me this morning through my website.
If you are just starting out, you may have to start out on micro job sites just to get your name out there. To charge very high prices online, you have to be able to prove that you have the experience to charge so much, and I'm not talking about putting fake testimonials, or having fake screenshots. I'm talking about writing fluent languages without many mistakes. The readers have to be able to SEE that you can actually do the work by providing samples for the buyers to look over.
Once you get some good experience under your belt, you will be able to adjust your prices accordingly, just remember, the higher the price, the harder it will be to get orders. Unfortunately we are in an ONLINE world were CHEAP seems to be the focal point, and different world currency. All challenges for anyone, regardless of their experience level.
Here is a link to a thread I created sometime ago that maybe some benefit for you. Add whatever you would like to it!
