If you are not doing Social Media then you need think about it. Social Media gives you more awareness, sales and generate web traffic faster than SEO tactics.

Yeah of course social media works better in compare to seo if you want to generate traffic in short time. But seo is always better as it gives you long lasting result.

For sure SEO is always ahead of Social media. I'm run couple of FB pages but their conversion rate is pretty low, maybe I'm in IM niche that's why.
Where as Search engine traffic gave me enough leads and conversions.

Well, actually I would answer that SEO will give you more traffic but not a sales. YOu know..? the most of online buy is return visitors, thus I think that the most important to make readers buy your product is that you have to build relationship with those readers. Social media is one of important tools to do that

I don't think in comparing these two search engine optimization and social media. Because social media a powerful way to spread our news with many friends at a time and you can convert a large traffic to your site instantly whereas coming to organic S E O, it will take long time and it will gets affected by Updates.

Social Media is faster than SEO to increase traffic but legging in sales. Buy button on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr is not generating sufficient lead despite having huge followers. People use social media sites for information related with text, image, links, videos etc. but use Google and other search engines to find out good site to buy products.
