Hello,

I had purchased new pc 4 months ago and I am using windows 10 bit lat few days, my pc showing this message " Activate windows, go to setting to activate windows"

But when I go there, it is asking windows license and i do not have it...

It may be computer provider used dummy license...

My question is that, is this possible to resolve this issue without license?

Thanks

Hello @john-mth,

the safest way to proceed would be to buy a Windows license key from an online key reseller. It's pretty cheap (less than $10) and it's the only way to activate Windows without having to download and install a third-party program from an unknown site.

The key for the windows is in your PC's Bios, all you should have to do is go to the settings and find activate windows and it should automatically confirm it. I've seen brand new dells and HPs throw this message when there is a small error in the OS. Otherwise you can try and reinstall the OS, which I would recommend to get rid of any bloatware.

I'm a bit late to the party.
Some of the license key sellers area bit of a grey-area and can have keys recalled. Your safest bet is to buy directly from Microsoft or a retail store a full (or OEM) version of Windows 10.
Buying a key from Microsoft:
Home: $139 (£119.99 / AU$225);
Pro: $199.99 (£219.99 / AU$339);
Workstation: $309 (£339 / AU$525)

It's a grey-area. I'm not saying there will be problems, but there can be.
