I switched my site to run with Let's Encrypt but I don't like Certbot because it needs root to run, especially if it's technically not needed. I research around and I am looking for alternatives to Certbot. I want to have one run as an unprivileged user. I heard about Dehydrated but I don't have any experience with it. Anyone else used Dehydrated or anything else? How was your experience?

Never tried Dehydrated but I used Certbot and it works pretty good with Let's Encrypt.
I used Let's Encrypt for my sites but now I am moving to free Cloudflare SSL because it is easy to install and I don't worry about renewing SSL certs for my sites like using Let's Encrypt.

Why is it a problem to use root access ? And You can use certbot with sudo.

It can be many risks if I use root account to install or configure somethings on my server, if I made it failed, all my websites can be down. That's why I want to use what is more easier to install and configure. Especially it can do on a hosting panel account, and just affect to an account on my hosting.

I think you don't need to use Certbot at this time because many hosting control panels (cpanel, plesk..) have already got free SSL feature with automatically renew SSL.

Thanks for letting me know about this. What about LEMP and LAMP, if I use them, can I still use SSL for my websites?
