I often check shared hosting offers and almost they are offering their plans with cPanel. Is there an option to get hosting without cPanel? for example I can require to install a free or my favorited control panel on a shared hosting for my websites?

No, that's not possible as cPanel is a part of the WHM panle which controls the whole server (VPS or dedicated). If you want to install your favorite control panel, you need a VPS or dedicated server.

Although correct in saying they would need a vps to install their own control panels, you are incorrect in saying it's not possible to get a shared hosting account that doesn't use cPanel. There are hosts out there that offer alternatives.

I can't think k of any name right off, but I have seen hosts using other control panels. (Plesk, CWP, etc)

Most hosts use cPanel, because that is what most customer's want.

You can not install any other control panel with cPanel i.e shared hosting if you want to install your own control panel then you can go for budget VPS hosting or Dedicated Server hosting to do so.

Windows based hosting cannot use cPanel. Therefore, a search for stuff without cPanel is simply a search for either Windows hosting or some kind of configuration like you'd find with those hosting plans that seem to have no interface. Those would often use Open VZ. Oh, by the way, I ran into this Open VZ stuff when I was doing this post-4-vps thing online. Basically, you had to make 50 or so posts and then you were given the choice of which control-panel-free VPS you wanted.

If you want to install your favorite web hosting panel the best option would be a root VPS, for a small self-managed vps prices would range in the area of shared cpanel hosting.

Seem this is not possible on shared hosting because almost providers will use WHM/cPanel for their shared hosting server thus a VPS may be a great choice to go with. :)

When you say you do not want cPanel, I am assuming that you do not want any control panel at all? There are some host offering hosting services of their proprietary control panel such as the entire Dreamhost, then there are some offering hosting service using alternative panels such as Plesk and DirectAdmin but the percentage of very small.

If you would prefer to install your own control panel then the best route is to go with an unmanaged VPS.

for your case, simply sign-up for a budget vps and install any of your control panel choice

I agree with you, shared hosting is shared and we must use same rerource hence we can not use a shared plan with no hosting control panel while others are using a hosting panel as cPanel or Plesk.

There are hosts out there that offer shared hosting for end users and don't use cPanel. Try searching "plesk shared hosting". Plesk being just one alternative.

May I ask why you are not interested in the cPanel shared hosting environment? Just out of my own curiosity.

In the event that you see how a cPanel facilitating functions, it ought to be simple.

Transfer the web documents to public_html of your FTP region. On the off chance that you have any way hardcoded you have to change that.

Make the DB and client from cPanel and refresh it in the arrangement record.

Populate the database you just made utilizing PHPmyadmin.

Utilize imapsync to adjust messages - You simply need to make the email IDs from the cPanel before utilizing imapsync.

In the event that you require any assistance with this vibe allowed to reach me!

It very uncommon questions. As most of the customers actually demand cPanel - it has become like the default for every shared hosting provider. We use to provide DirectAdmin panel with shared hosting, however, we don't anymore as there was no interest in it after we started offering cPanel. I guess the market dictates the rules, in this case.

Again like some people have said above. Most hosts won't change their control panel upon your request as it is part of their WHM. And most of the customers probably prefer cpanel. But there are hosts which do not use cpanel. I've used a control panel called Interworx or something similar to that, personally not my favourite tool. Im more cpnael but that's my opinion.

On Interworx website they have a lists of hosting sites which run Interworx instead of cpanel. Have a look at this http://www.interworx.com/partners/interworx-web-hosting/

So you want to install a control panel by yourself Then why you are looking for shared hosting? just buy any VPS and install any control panel that you want.
