kyup claims to be a container hosting for web applications and providing some new and exciting features like automated upscaling and downscaling according to the traffic status. If i want to host any of my application on it what do you guyz recommend for it?
LXC is very similar to OpenVZ. Providers can now sell this technology because they can launch unprivileged contains, which provide enough isolation between the container and the host.
But if LXC is easier to deploy than KVM for a provider, it doesn't provide the same performance than a full virtualization like KVM. And like OpenVZ, resources are shared and it allow overselling.
So, in my opinion, Public cloud based on KVM like linode, digitalocean or vultr are better hosting solutions than LXC based hosting.
