The hosting company I have used they have 3 servers located at USA , Europe and Asia

My default hosting location is at EU. I want to target USA audiences.

There is an option from my host stated I can request to host it from USA instead from EU

so I was thinking does it help to increase US visitors if I change my hosting to a new location?

For me it's not needed, except if you are hosting a website for a local business. Because I have already read several time, google will rank a local business better if the ip of his server is located in the local area. But I haven't any see any real stats about that, and with SEO it's really hard to get measure.

But don't hesitate too much with that, it will have less impact on your visitors, than a good keywords usage or an optimization of your website.

Google does not rank based on the ip location. Period.

Google does use location targeting as one of the MANY ranking factors, but you can and should set this in Google Webmaster tools rather then relying on Google figuring it out based on IP location.

@wpspeedster
you see this is very argue able depending on your websites data traffic.
if your website is VERY high data traffic then its always a good idea to have multiple locations as it will make a difference in load time which is important to google.

However if your website does not have tens or hundreds of thousands of daily visitors who eat data like its cake then you wont face noticeable difference if you have servers in the UK or in US.

To increase US visitors you don't need to change server, but may be your website will load faster for US if you move your data server.
Check page speed from different locations to see if there is big variation then you can make your mind.

Changing a server location itself probably won't do anything for getting more visitors to your site but changing from a slow server to one that is a lot faster can do that by way of a slight bump in Google's rankings since they use load speed as a small ranking factor.
