Hello, I'm mostly on affiliate program. I applied some famous online store in CJ or LS. However some of them got declined and there is no detail reason.

My question is what the major reason that the application got declined?
1. low traffic
2. not enough content
3. ....

Thanks,

A lot of them won't give a detailed explanation if any at all. It can be a combination of things. Many times it's just that the site or sites you have don't related close enough to the product or services that the advertiser is wanting. Sometimes it can be the age of the site.

Basically it can be any number of things and many won't tell you why they didn't approve you for whatever reason.

So the only way to get the reason is contact them? Shouldn't CJ or LS help publisher to get approved?

You might be able to find out that way, but most probably won't reply back.

I would think, but I really don't know what their policies are on that. Each advertiser has the right to reject your approval, if they want to. Many really don't care and approve everyone.

Some affiliate networks want to make sure you are a real person and not some fake bot. If you have a Facebook page, send them to that. Tell them about your promotion methods. BE HONEST with them. Don't try to lie to get approved.

If you have a website, build it up and make it look professional. Then reapply in a few months.

I don't think most of them will give you an answer as to why you were not accepted.
Most of these types of companies would like to see your history. Examples of your traffic, content, your experience in this market, and how you plan to promote their products. Some won't accept you unless you have experience, or quality content and/or traffic.

One thing I just thought of is this (didn't see it mentioned when I skimmed). When you are creating your sites, are they on your own domain? I'll give you an example. My name is Joey. If I wanted to (and it were available), I might buy the domain name "joey.me" from a domain name registrar like Godaddy and then pay for web hosting (where the content for the site is stored) through Host Gator or something like that. Are you doing that? If not, that could be another issue. Also, everything else that has been said could also be true. Some advertisers can be picky.

Joey
