For SEO: I have only two plugins.
One is WP Simple Sitemap. The other is Add Meta tags.
The first is self explanatory.
The second lets me add custom meta descriptions+tags per post and generate Twitter cars+OpenGraph, Dublin core, schema.org etc, plus author and publisher data.
I don't like the Yoast plug-in at all.

I always wondered if any of these tools really work or they just snooping on your content, i always thought good tags and a proper robot.txt will do the job
