Heya, I just bought a VPS from https://hammervm.com for a pound (Handle VPS), but I can't seem to login with PuTTY?

I'm using the SSH option with the IP and Port 22, but it won't work. Says Network Unreachable on PuTTY

the IP is a bit weird, is it fake? example: `xxxx:xxxx:xxxx`

Had similar cases before, might be an IPv6-only address, so double-check if your connection or router supports it.

Heya! When PuTTY says "Network Unreachable," it usually means your PC can't connect to the VPS at all. Check:

You're using the correct public IP (not a private one like 192.x or 10.x).

The VPS is turned on and finished booting.

The SSH port is actually 22 (some providers change it).

There's no firewall blocking SSH.

If the IP is not normal, it may be internal or improperly configured. You can post the first part of the IP here, and I can attempt to look!

Hello! Do I understand correctly that you are using an IPv6 address for your connection and you are getting the message “Network unavailable”?
This usually means that your network/router does not support IPv6 or your firewall is blocking outgoing IPv6 connections. Or the server is actually unavailable, perhaps it's down or the IP is wrong.
Check if your VPS provider also gave you an IPv4 address.
Try pinging an IPv6/4 address from your PC.

Make sure you are using the correct IP address, username, and password. This information is usually available in the email or admin page when you purchased your VPS.

If you are using an SSH key without a password, make sure the permissions on the SSH file are set correctly.
