Hello,

I have seen it done many times, and I am curious as to how to do it myself. I have lots of files on my computer, and I want to make them public on the internet. The computer is dedicated, and I wish to use it as the server. I have heard of apache? is that correct? It would be really great if you share any web hosting video will help.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Joe,

Yes, it's really simple. Setup the server with CentOS and install CentOS Web Panel which will install everything you need to host your sites and makes setting them up easy.

However running hosting from your residential internet connection is normally against terms of service with your Internet provider.

WampServer can do this for you https://sourceforge.net/projects/wampserver/

However as LJSHost already stated, chances are it's going against your providers terms of services. I would talk to a rep and make sure it's okay before making the server public.

I think WampServer only can make a localhost
The OP could want to bring his computer to online as a dedicated server.
It think it is not possible to do that.

If you are using your own router you might probably have to forward the ports needed by your server to connect. For example, if your server is a web host, you need to redirect the port 80 on the router to your server's IP address (which should be static).

Instead of making your PC as own server, you can purchase the shared hosting service, upload all contents on it and make them live. You can refer the documentation of Apache http server software. It will help you to setup your PC as own server and make the it live.
