Website Banner is the first thing to attract the visitor's attention, it helps to understand about your business in the image only. So make it more beautiful, professional and attractive. I will use Photoshop to design website banners. Banners size can be either full width or 1000 pixels but height should be below 350 pixels which is professional. And Take a layer apply white color, give 0.6 to 0.8 opacity, write a text, give good gradient with 1-3 pixels stroke, it gives beautiful output and elevates background image.

I would like to tell you how to create a website banner in easy steps using Photoshop software:

- Search images online, save free license pictures
- Download latest font from dafont or any free fonts site
- take a specified width and height
- Put the image and write simple title with tag line

It seems simple but hard to do and to bring such quality as an experienced designer.

There are many ways to make your home page banner look attractive. All is need to use different effects while designing a banner or using the same effects in the different ways. The main thing is your design should be very simple and should appeal your visitor attention and need to convey trust. By using some artistic elements also attract the attention and should look professional or add some interactive elements to make your banner live and engage more fun.

I haven't designed any banners or buttons lately, but that's pretty much how I do them. I just use a different program, I don't have a clue about photoshop, I use PSP, Paint Shop Pro for all of my graphics. It has the same tools I understand as photoshop, so opacity, gradients, etc are an option for PSP too.
