After I have studied about ways to manage unmanaged VPS I am owning one now I have a question, how can I backup all data (include files, data and configs) in my linux VPS so that I can restore them when I move to a new unmanaged vps but different IP adress? And I can do the backup for managed VPS?

So Personally I use Linux Based Hosting seeing as most scripts run on php. I know some applications use Windows Based Hosting so what do you use and why?
