I have a large MySQL database file, around 1GB of data, I want to split into multi files and importing them into a database in my hosting. is It possible? is there a tool/way to do this task?

I realize that R1Soft is very popular in web hosting industry and its recommended by web host providers. Is there a possibility of using new clients if R1soft backup/restore is not a provided as part of the hosting package? I would hear your thoughts on R1Soft and other backup methods for cPanel.
