Definitely a big budget is required. If you can figure out how to do most of the things you want by yourself then it's highly recommended you do.

Good idea! I recently built my own desktop and love it! I agree, I recently bought a cheap laptop so I could do work when I'm out and about. Hahaha now that's what I thought!!

Besides spending time on ForumWeb, I'd say social networking, my site, coding, Netflix, gaming and maybe learning something new!

I agree! I've used Google Chrome for a while now. But like I mentioned above plan on moving browsers.

I'd recommend expanding your brand scope, although HP is pretty good you should to see if there is other brands that can provide you to your need better than acer or up.
