You could ask your provider to switch the IP and null-route the old one. Then disable ping on the new IP. This solution won't suit you if you're running some IP-dependent services.

Exactly as it was mentioned above - you should contact game developers and find out the minimum specs etc. Sometimes this info is available on their website sometimes not. Some developers only work with a limited number of approved hosts. So you need to do some research before getting a server...

If you're on cpanel just check Apache Status when attack starts. That should give you a hint on which domain is being attacked.

Godaddy was great like 10-15 years ago. $18 is A LOT for a .com in 2019. I would cancel the recurring straight away and migrate to another registrar before the domain expires next year.

10G port doesn't mean you'll get 10gbps network speed. Many hosts advertise 10G port and 100TB/month. Which means you can (theoretically) get 10G connection to another server in the same dc. Which kind of makes it useless if you're not running a server cluster there.

That is why you always have to check domain age and when the hosting company was established. It's a brilliantly planned scam though: order some (or even get some for a trial) servers and sell cheap annual plans on Black Friday. Then cancel all servers within 14 days? They sure made some decent...

All the mentioned providers are reputable, but if you're looking for a budget server and location is not critical for you perhaps you can take a look at some more providers in Eastern Europe for example... :cool:

Www is something archaic in my opinion. Www is short for world wide web and its useless nowadays. I wonder why someone would want to use it anyway.
