If you do use free hosting and you are worried about losing your data just make sure you make backups on your computer and download your data from the hosting control panel. Many free web hosts i am sure will give you the option to download a website backup copy to your computer.

Another vote for stripe from me. Once setup and a client pays you, it can be sent straight to your bank daily, as the fastest payout option. The client pays with their card you receive into your bank as a standard bank transfer in.
