I think this is not necessary if we use a hosting control panel like cPanel, Plesk or directadmin, right? Because FTP was integrated and installed already on these panels.

I would choose VPS for my websites. It always provides me good features while I pay lesser than a dedicated server. I never use dedicated servers because its price is high and I could not go with dedicated offers hence VPS is still my best option for me at this time.
