You can create a short 15 to 30 pages ebook, video or audio file and give it away for free in exchange for an email address. Meaning, everyone who downloads your free gift gives you their email so that you can market to them later.

There are many ways to capture leads (get people to join your list), you can use a squeeze page, blog (sidebar, below post, above main menu etc.), facebook tab etc.

Hope that helps.

Ok, when you create a 3 part video course, this is how I would do it:
Get useful information about your niche, do some research at Internet marketing forums, youtube and google.
Then make for every video a representative PowerPoint presentation.
Record this presentation with Camtasia (Windows) or Movavi (Mac) and of course use a good mic of your headset.
Place these 3 videos on a secured page of your own (Wordpress) website
On the upper right corner of your site place the opt-in for the name and email.
Be sure to use a autoresponder like AWeber or GetResponce.
And after you have this information you give them your video page...
Customer happy with the free video course, you happy with a new name for your email list... :clap_1:

If you know your niche inside out then all you need to do is create a short 12-15 page report that solves one single problem in the niche. If you don't know your niche inside out then you need to research research, learn and learn until you do.

Below is a quick kind of cheat way.

I don't personaly do this myself, but you can and many others do.

Look for good PLR in your niche by searching through Google. You can find free PLR and paid ( small fee usually ) for almost any niche market.

All you need to do then is read/ add and re-write in your own words. If there a section in the PLR that you feel needs more information, then search this section again on Google/YouTube and get the answers and once again put it in your own words.

An even bigger ( lazier ) cheat way would be to combine a few articles from an article directory in your niche and package them together as a free report. the only problem here is that you need to keep in the bio's for the articles.

I don't recommend the last cheat method, but believe it or not some do use it to whip up a report in 5 minutes!

You want your report to be so good that your reader wants to learn more from you. For this reason my advice would be for you to research your niche daily until you feel educated in it. ( Oh and never stop researching, even when you feel like an expert)

The key thing to remember is to create quality.

For those of you who want to make videos but don't have the funds for Camtasia there is a free method. I use Screen-Cast-O-Matic. It has a free version you can work from the browser or download to your computer. Also there are other perks if you upgrade (no, I'm not an affiliate) It's only around $12 per year and well worth it. I love it.

This is what I have found successful in my testing...

I take them to a squeeze page which offers them a free method of, for example, How to get a Higher squeeze page conversion rate.

They opt-in and get taken to the page with the free method. They read the free tip on the page and are happy with what I have taught them.

On this side of the page, I talk about an eBook filled with Squeeze page tips and why they need it. I include a clickable link which takes them to the sales page for the eBook I created (Roughly 15 pages long).

What I'm trying to say is that I don't give the full eBook away for free. Why would you do this anyway? Then people who join your list, will be programmed to receiving free gifts all of the time. This is what you don't want!

Quick Recap: Offer them a free tip from the eBook you have created (Or whatever the product is) which will get them excited about the full product. This will result in more sales for yourself :)
