I just started myself. I received my call today and they ask me for $10,000 to do a campaign. I will have to take money out of a 401K... So I wish I could help you... if I find out. I have signed up with Amazon, but just a little scared!

Newbies fail at affiliate marketing because they think that they can find any old product on Click Bank and share it to social networks and such or they see a video of some guru who only wants you to spend more money on their methods that don't work.

All of it leads to the fact that most newbies, do not want to hear the truth. So they try everything that they hear that sounds easy (which is exactly why the gurus exist, they prey on the easy seekers), and they give up when it doesn't work.

Newbies do not want to hear that IM is hard work. It's 16 hrs a day in front of the computer, forgetting to eat, and skipping sleep. It's downing two pots of coffee and soaking in as much info in a day as you can, while applying it along the way. It's forgetting about your social life and friends.

Sad, but thats the life of a newbie who strives to be successful. I can honestly say, I do pretty good online and I still skip nights of sleep and sit in front of my computer all day.

You have to understand marketing and let's face it, most internet marketers who are newbs do not have an MBA. So you have to have an understanding of psychology and how your consumer market thinks. You have to have the ability to make a horse thirsty by raising the temperature. Then you have to show it a cool refreshing troff of water thats sparkling. You cant just shove water in the horses face and make it drink.

Then you have to understand campaigning and email marketing. You need to know SEO and some minor web development to even make a simple wordpress site.

Most of all you have to focus and keep grinding away even if you fail the first 20 times. You didn't fail 20 times because you learned something everytime. The more you do, the more you learn. Not jumping around from method to method is the key.

Most newbs don't want it to be as complicated as it really is and when they find out its hard they give up. They say' "I don't know what I'm doing", and they give up. then they go back to working a regular job and "enjoying" their free-time instead of spending every moment of their free time discovering how to be successful.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you are right!

Be your true potential!

Never truer words spoken in regards to what it takes to make it online! I want every noob to read these words and let them sink in.

OP, Eric is absolutely right and I am also a testament to the accuracy of what he's telling you. You need skills, resources, and a strong work ethic to make it online. Most noobs have none of the above. They want to believe in the magic button or the secret loophole software that "pumps millions into your bank account". They're lazy, unskilled, undisciplined, and the guru-types PREY upon those weaknesses.

So if you really want to make money online whether it's affiliate marketing, product publishing, or what have you - you're going to have to really dig deep, learn many skills, and invest a lot of energy into your efforts.

I have to agree with this in that you have to work hard. I built my first site back in 2000 and I will say the crazy part is that it is easier now than ever before and it's still really hard. It only gets easier once you can find out what works systematize your business and then outsource as much as you can. If you can't do that then your just killing yourself.

I will say that the most important part is knowing your matrix. If you know how much everything costs and are able to track what is working and what is not working. Then you can get rid of what is not working, keep what is working and just keep perfecting the process.

Laziness struck new generation to easily quit on their chosen craft. I guess each people should set their goal and try to explore more. You can't just master your chosen craft in one day, you need to work hard. You need to have the eagerness to learn and to not just depend on your instinct that it will probably work. Marketing is challenging field, it is a huge competition, there's always changes from time to time, if you wanna excel then you'll need to work harder.

From experience, a medium size affiliate program usually has about 50,000 registered affiliates. Less than 5% actually send decent traffic. Or actually any traffic at all.

Newbies fail at affiliate marketing because .......................

Agreed. Too many people out there trying startups and thinking that they will be millionaires overnight. It takes hard work and effort. Great post.

I think marketers fail because of three things: They don't learn all they can about traffic and few really delve into persuasion and copywriting. Traffic will get eyeballs to your site and persuasion will get them wanting to buy. The third reason is that many give up too easily and move on to the next idea on making money. So for example, if you want to start with YouTube, really learn it, succeed and then add something else to your marketing repertoire.

First problem is niche selection. There are plenty articles on how to find a niche but as well as finding one getting decent traffic you also need one where there are people passionate enough to continually spend money.

Second problem is not building a list. If you are continually generating traffic then it becomes either expensive or time consuming. At best about 5% of your traffic might buy so if you aren't capturing it you're wasting 95% of your effort.

Third problem is not cultivating your list. It never ceases to astonish me the number of lists I sign up for that I never get another email from.

Fourth problem is choosing what to promote. It's got a bit better now but at one point all the top selling products on Clickbank had 30% + refund rates because they were complete scams promising instant riches for no work. If you promote rubbish your list becomes unresponsive and dies.

Fifth problem. Not setting yourself apart. Your list is made up of people. Treat them like friends. Let them get to know you. Establish your own personality(even if it is a false one, one of the most successful promotions was The Rich Jerk, arrogant obnoxious and rude but he had a huge following, nothing like the guy behind it)

Sixth problem trying to do too many things at once. Get established in one niche and develop from there. If you look at all the most successful people online they have one core niche and everthing else flows from it.

Seventh problem - listening to others. This can be done working an hour a day until you are making enough to outsource. It can't be done by installing push button software, or any other shortcut.

Eighth problem. Working alone. Nobody ever succeeded in this game without forging alliances with other marketers. You need help and support along the way and ideally someone to kick your backside if you let things slide. Network network network.

It certainly doesn't need 16 hour days forgetting to eat or sleep unless you are making it too hard for yourself, with perhaps the exception of doing a big product launch where people will expect you to be there constantly to answer questions.

I think more people failed with affiliate marketing because they didn't build traffic first so no sales when they offered any services on their site.

Building email list, Do SEO or advertising on forums, social networks to increase traffic for your site it's the best way to increase quality traffic and sales for your affiliate programs.

Why newbies fail in affiliate marketing?

  • Because they don't focus on one single method to get traffic to their offer.
  • It's not a real job for them, they don't have a boss on their shoulder to tell them to work, thus they lose focus and interest.
  • Their not ambitious at all. But not all of them. I know people who started and their were very ambitious, because they didn't want to live in the conditions they lives (in poverty).

There are plenty of reasons why newbies fail in affiliate marketing.

I Suggest about U complet study about Affiliate Marketing.
Find Affiliate Marketing Details in google.

What is Affiliate Marketing ?

Affiliate marketing at its very core is about relationships,
a relationship between three parties:
1. Advertiser
2. Publisher
3. Consumer

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?

Let's face it: technology, especially the internet, can be pretty daunting to try to grasp, and with terms like malware, cursor and spam, it also seems pretty dangerous. So kudos to the guys who decided e-commerce and affiliate marketing should rely on an innocuous technology called a "cookie."

And Many more Affiliate Marketing Study about ...!!!

There are so many reasons why newbies fail with internet marketing. So many people fail with affiliate marketing because they fail to invest in proper education. They think they can just pick up everything they need to know about affiliate marketing by trial and error. There are lots of ebooks or videos that will show you step-by-step on how you can get started. By following these guide not only will you cut short your learning curve, you will also avoid the most pitfalls which many people make. Another way by which many fail with affiliate marketing is by promoting poor products. So, many newbie affiliate marketers make the mistake of promoting products without conducting prior research on it for its quality. By putting much of your effort in promoting this poor product will result in you getting no result at all from it.
