You can try with Wordpress, it is much easier than PHP, & they are all the time coming out with dissimilar types of themes to create a unique website from wordpress.

If you are serious about your website and at the same time do not posses enough coding experience why not start with something like wordpress, which is basically built on php and customize it as per your needs. That should be a good start IMO

the best editor ever dreamweaver is a free alternative is komodo editor or nvu
to use the php there are no spells or software is the only way to learn is by studying use of it or take advantage of a programmer.
