Yes, but it is easier to install than cpanel.

install ClamAV via SSH:

  • SSH into your server as root.
  • Ensure that the EPEL repo is both installed and enabled by running the following command:
    yum install epel-release -y
  • Install ClamAV with required ClamAV packages with the following command:
    yum install clamav clamd
  • Run the following 3 commands to start the clamd service and set it to auto-start:
    /etc/init.d/clamd on
    chkconfig clamd on
    /etc/init.d/clamd start
  • Update ClamAV's signatures with the following command:
    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/freshclam
Once installed and updated, ClamAV will update automatically as part of the /etc/cron.daily/freshclam cron job.

You can install ClamAV plugin from WHM and SSH. But the easiest method is to install ClamAV is from WHM.
  • Login to WHM.
  • Click on "Manage Plugins".
  • You will find list of plugin so choose ClamAV plugin and install it.
  • After complete installation you will get message "Plugin installed successfully".

he flag -r denotes recursive file checking.

Hello Every One,

Following are the steps to install ClamAV via WHM/CPANEL

Connect to your WHM interface as root.
On the home page, click on the cPanel link (icon).
Click on "Manage Plugins".
Select the box "Install and keep updated" in the corresponding section to clamavconnector.
Click on save at the bottom of the page to confirm the installation.

You can install the ClamAV plugin with the help of the WHM panel. Login to WHM >> Click on "Manage Plugins"
You will find the list of plugins so choose the ClamAV plugin and install it. After complete installation, you will get the message "Plugin installed successfully".

1. Login into your WHM Server.

2. Go ‘Manage Plugins’ in the left-side menu on your WHM Panel.

3. Locate the ClamAV and click on the ‘Install ClamAV for cpanel’.
