I have this question in my mind because as time progress and advancement of technology there is no way these robots can solve this CAPTCHAs. I think right now they are capable of solving simple a CAPTCHA. Can we really trust CAPTCHA from doing this things?

Let me know your opinion and share it with me. :rolleyes2:

I do believe that in time, we will be able to develop programs to automatically solve CAPTCHAs. However, technology applies to all and programmers in turn will develop more complex security features as a counter measure. What do you think?

Well that's what i want to know also. Because why would a human like me asked by those captcha? as if i ask them if they are captcha right? well im just kidding.

But i think it is just a program like when they can represent you something that only true person can define. It's just the assurance that the one who's typing in front of a computer is a real human being. They ask question that only a true man can see and choose the right answer.

It's not bad at all to used captcha for safety reason. Because those captcha is also created by the man.

Captchas are becoming more complicated and difficult to decipher. There are also other methods employed like identifying specific pictures based on instruction. Even if there will be programs someday to enable robots to solve existing captchas, there will still be programmers who will be developing and evolving new captchas to provide the necessary security. Robots will always have their limitations since they are created by men.

As for me, I dont thik if captchas can distinguish robots because many times I tried to do captchas though I did not click on the right match of captchas but still it lets me verify. So definitely robots might do so

While there are attempts to solve CAPTCHAs, there will also be efforts to make CAPTCHAs difficult to solve. The very essence of existence of CAPTCHAs is to contain spammers and hackers into infiltrating our systems.

In the future, innovative solutions will be discovered to protect security. In the meantime, developers will address difficulty in solving Captchas by adopting more complex patterns like images, problem-solving questions, riddles, etc. which cannot be easily distinguished by robots. Just like a battle between good and evil. We will always like to see the good prevailing over evil.

As technology changes and become so high-tech, there's a HUGE possibility that someone, somewhere out there will be able to solve these CAPTCHAS automatically or I don't know some autopilot bots. There's nothing possible especially with the technology arises.

Based on experience from online captcha typing job, I think it can certainly distinguish human from robots, i tried many captchas and it's not easy though it's not possible that bots in the future can do it. Were living into modern technology genius and it's not possible to create bots that can solve captchas.

This is what I want to know too!!! I guess captcha cant really determine if the user is a person or a robot. but im not sure. I will be glad if this question can be asnwered by those who really know.

Absolutely! Captchas can guarantee safe and secure login accounts. It can detect robot or what we call automated programs for logging in. I also work in a data entry companies and they really do help. That is we these BPO companies pay people to enter captchas accurately.

However, we can't be sure of these in the future because of technological advancement in softwares and programs.

I think so. I already heard about it for a couple of years ago. I was amazed about that but considering about the technology that keeps on developing, we could not stop that kind of possibilities. A person is intelligent enough that could make a program to determine whether those characters entered are done by a human where robot could not do it.

I believe that we can trust CAPTCHA. In the first place, it would not be used as another level of verification for no purpose. In my opinion, CAPTCHA is truly able to distinguish a live person and system apart. Since, you will need to read the instructions and answer it as well. Which, most of the time is different whenever you log in to your accounts.

Well, as we all know that only humans can solve CAPTCHA, and something that is impossible for robots to do. When time comes that even robot is capable of doing CAPTCHA, I think new securities of CAPTCHA will be created as well like solving a simple arithmetic problem that requires basic human analysis.
But I think that is way too far to happen because CAPTCHA is doing a great job in terms of determining human from robots.

I think it is not impossible to happen that Robot can already solve captchas in the future. As we are now in this modern era of technology, then nothing is impossible. But I think since human are the brightest animal in the planet, it would find ways to overcome this potential threat to humanity that robot can now solved captchas in the future. Maybe some would add another type of security features or most likely will increased its verification process to avoid robot intervention.

Hello. Well I guess, for now, CAPTCHAs can still distinguish humans from robots. But I also believe that as days go by, technology is also fast pacing when it comes to simulating the human capabilities into robots. So maybe in the future CAPTCHAs need to improve in the way they give security features to the users. With the new efforts in terms of Artificial Intelligence it might be possible that someday robots and humans can never be distinguished anymore as far as computer usage is concerned. On the other hand, human intelligence cannot be also undermined. So maybe instead of reading and understanding there will be other ways in which security features can be applied to technology use.

Well, unless we can make robots develop critical thinking, which is unlikely to happen in a few more decades, I don't think there's chance they can surpass CAPTCHA, as only with thoughts can a current CAPTCHA test be solved. Nothing can be said with certainty though. I surely believe that one day robots will defeat CAPTCHA, and I for sure don't look forward to that day.

Regardless, this is one interesting topic to look into.
