I understand there a lot of differences compared to using traditional hosting but would the companies investing in them see a positive difference?

It depends how you integrate the solutions in you business, but if your infrastructure is in need of flexibility, scalability and redundancy of the cloud infrastructure offers then you will get the most out of it.

@Gizamulake07 What is your question actually? Investment would not successful, just because it has been made into any Cloud computing service provider. Technology is just one part of the investment plan. It is much more important to have a good marketing plan. Other than that Cloud computing infrastructures offer a lot of benefits to companies.

It does not simply mean that getting cloud hosting would make your company better. It really depends on how you handle and structure out your business. As what trabianetwork had said, if your infrastructure is in need of flexibility i.e , then go for it.

I believe yes, because cloud hosting reaches out to a larger amount of people who can see your business. Although there can be other ways a lot more practical, cloud hosting, I believe is one of the most helpful tool to be successful.

Yeah, the company and top players are seeking for the cloud hosting with a managed team. It is most often practiced by top managed cloud hosting providers. The team works at the backend and make the company free from handling/maintaining a server. So, people are starting to invest on managed cloud hosting.

I guess it entirely depends on how your company perceives the cloud hosting. If the company is more comfortable with the traditional hosting, then go for it. But here is what I experienced for cloud and traditional hosting.
1. If you lease or purchase a dedicated server, you will have full control over your server. But if you choose a shared server, then you will be sharing your server with other websites. This type of server is suitable for a company who: 1.1 know their traffic 1.2 have an IT department that would overlook the server. 1.3 highly (super highly) concern about a security breach (apply for a dedicated server only).
2. If you don't know your traffic, then you better go with a cloud hosting. You just need to pay for things that you use. Cloud hosting is more scalable than a traditional hosting, so depending on your traffic, you can increase or decrease the bandwidth, memory, and so on.
When my company decided to invest of the cloud computing, we have done multiple researches to understand what is the effect of using the cloud and is it suitable for us. So really do your homework and find out if cloud or traditional hosting is the BEST FIT for your company.
Good luck
