I want to know the best time to start monetizing a new website, to know the best approach to take when starting another one.
Formally, whenever I create a new website I don't monetize it( such as putting Google Adwords, showcasing affiliate products or sponsored ads, etc) until after 4months.

So when is the best time to start monetizing a new website,is it the same day you start it or after couples of weeks, months, years?
For example,It took big company like SnapChat more than a year before they start monetizing their product.
Does monetizing generally depends on what you are offering on the new website?

Share your thought.

Let me ask, what is the reason why you want to delay monetization of a website? Why would you like to delay getting online revenue from Adsense? I don't see the point here.

I think it is best to monetize a site as soon as you have published an article. This way you can get revenue as early as possible. I think ads won't turn off your visitors as long as they are put in the right location.

Whenever I make a new website and have published an article, I make sure that Adsense ads are already visible and incorporated to this site.

I have monetized my websites with network ads (adsense for instane) and affiliate products (amazon, commission junction etc.) When I begin the monetization process, I conider on number of things for example, quantaty of ontents, traffic to the website etc.). If I am getting decent traffic and the website has established certain reputation, I will begin mnonetization process at once.

Hi @Lingfart,
In my previous sites, I allow them to gain ground traffic before monetizing. But I got your point on this. Thanks for sharing!

@Vinaya, You are right starting out with ad-sense is a good start before embarking on direct products to your audience. This is the practice I will follow on my next website.
Thanks.

When I launched my first blog, I ran adsense ads and amazon affiliate product ads from day one. I already had adsense and amazon affiliate account before I launched my blog. I got adsense account by applying from third party website. During then adsense, you could use adsense account on your websites even if you got it through third party website.

For me brother some viewers irritate with ads or many popping ads shown on your sites and that's a big deal because your audience make sure it will never comeback to your site, because some people hate ads.

There's a perfect time to monetized your sites with ads make sure you have a lot of audience trust in you before you start monetizing your site.
